| F.lux is a program that I recently stumbled upon. A novel concept -- change the color warmness of your screen to match the sun's.
It may sound useless at first, but it really does make sitting in front of the PC at night more peaceful. You will have that feeling of oneness with the earth, and with that, all will seem well.
